Evelyn Confides in Her Friends About Her Miscarriage

While visiting New York, Evelyn catches up with her girlfriends over dinner, and confides in them about her recent miscarriage. Evelyn is still reeling from the loss and can't help wondering if it was somehow her fault or if there was something she could have done differently to prevent it.

"It's not that he doesn't feel anything, but as a woman it's your responsibility to carry that baby," Evelyn tells them. "It's not Carl, it's me."

Ev's friends and Shaniece reassure her that there is nothing that she could have done to prevent the heartbreaking loss, but Evelyn is still concerned about her health. As she approaches 40, Evelyn worries that her window is closing, and that she may never be able to have another child.
