Iyanla, Fix My Life:
At age 11, Chamique Holdclaw received a court order to live with her grandmother because her mother, Bonita, struggled with alcohol addiction. Bonita tells Iyanla that, in retrospect, she would have rather had Chamique and her brother go to foster care than live with her mother because she felt her mother "took over" her children. As Chamique listens on, Bonita opens up to Iyanla about the troubled relationship she had with her mother. Learn why Iyanla says Bonita and Chamique are victims of a cycle of motherless daughters, and hear why Chamique can't forgive Bonita until she forgives her own mother.
