Joseph has obtained one of Leslie's old calendars and is tracking her movements so he can "accidentally" run into her. When Angela becomes aware of what he's up to, she bumps up Leslie's appointment time at the salon. However, Joseph does eventually run into Leslie at the salon, but she leaves without talking to him.
Later, at the offices of C-Sports Now, Joseph's co-workers figure out what he's been up to when he leaves to get lunch and is gone for three hours. Convinced of how unhealthy his behavior has been, Marcus and Richard try to talk some sense into their troubled friend.
After Jennifer informs Angela of an elderly couple's struggle with Alzheimer's, Angela immediately begins to reflect on the good times she's had with Marcus. This prompts her to question Marcus' memory of their relationship by playing a memory game. Although Marcus initially rejects Angela's attempt to include him in the game, he later gives in and initiates a version of the memory game himself. Afterward, Angela realizes that Marcus remembers the good times after all.
Leslie returns from her honeymoon in Paris, and Jennifer and Angela's suspicions are raised when she is tight-lipped about the sexual prowess of her newlywed husband, Chris. Leslie finally reveals that she accidentally called Chris by Joseph's name in the heat of the moment.
Meanwhile at C-Sports Now, Richard is struggling with his deteriorating relationship with Keisha. Joseph tries to be a good friend by offering Richard a listening ear. Marcus, on the other hand, is intent upon letting Richard suffer the consequences of his decision to marry her. Eventually, Richard offers Marcus an apology for disregarding his warnings about Keisha.
While hosting his live TV sports show, Joseph fields a phone call from a woman named Leslie Christian. Reminded of Chris and Leslie's relationship, Joseph has a meltdown on air.
Later, Richard and Marcus find Joseph's loft to be in total disarray. Joseph says that the entire place reminds him of Leslie and that he may need to move out.
Meanwhile, Leslie accidentally calls out Joseph's name on her honeymoon—only moments before making love to her newlywed husband, Chris. Chris is then convinced that Leslie is still in love with Joseph, and suggests that he and his bride need time apart.
The guys get Joseph settled at Marcus and Angela's place. In order to help Joseph with his alcohol addiction, Marcus and Richard make a pact not to drink socially as an act of solidarity. Then, unaware of Joseph's presence, Angela and Jennifer arrive at the house, gushing about Chris and Leslie's wedding. However, the trouble resulting from Marcus and Angela's lack of communication doesn't end there, as they soon realize that she has invited Leslie and Chris to the house after their wedding—the same house where Joseph is now recovering.
When the newlyweds arrive and become aware of Joseph's presence, Chris encourages Leslie to talk to her ex and bring closure to their situation.
Richard apologizes to Marcus for all he went through with Keisha. Meanwhile, Dr. Madson updates the guys about Joseph's condition—and also suggests a therapist that can help with Joseph's alcohol addiction. When the guys finally get to see Joseph, he asks if Leslie is there at the hospital. Marcus reluctantly tells him that she went back to the church to marry Chris.
After the hospital releases Joseph, Marcus insists that he stay with him and Angela until he gets back on his feet. Despite Leslie's decision to marry Chris, Joseph's undying love for her is evident when he proclaims that he won't let her go.
