Cary and Aileen met 5 years ago through a mutual friend. Their friendship eventually blossomed into love. Aileen tends to be a homebody while extrovert Cary can’t wait to get the party started. He loves to indulge and gets easily distracted by friends, food and alcohol. She has been thinking of her dream wedding since she was a little girl and has high hopes for the big day. Her family is Korean and his family is Japanese. Although their cultural differences have never been an issue in their relationship, both of their families will expect a few traditions honored at the wedding. Cary envisions his own Japanese culture seamlessly fitting into the day with Taiko drummers and sushi, but if he does not remember to include Korean elements his already skeptical future in-laws will never forget his oversight.
