The Lesson Meagan Good Learned About Setting Expectations in Marriage

Season 1 Episode 104
CC | tv-pg
When Meagan Good tied the knot with DeVon Franklin, she initially wanted to cook more, despite not having cooked much in the past. She did prepare meals early on in the marriage, but they became few and far between when Meagan's schedule became hectic.

"One of my aunts said, 'Don't ever start something you can't finish,'" DeVon says, noting how Meagan's cooking early on set a standard that was unsustainable.

"I did learn that," Meagan adds, reflecting on how the moment helped her realize not to set expectations that she can't maintain. "That was a very good lesson."
