Emily Wilcox is a first year teacher at John McDonogh. Hailing from Richmond, VA, Emily comes from a family of educators, where she witnessed first-hand how extremely rewarding and how extremely difficult the teaching profession could be. During her studies at James Madison University, Emily found herself gravitating towards education policy, and with her love for New Orleans, she quickly became part of the transformation of JMHS after graduation. Within her classroom, Emily seeks to provide her students with an environment that is conducive to learning as well as the love and support needed to be successful young adults.
