David Patterson, once the captain of Ohio State's football team, went on to play in the NFL before sustaining a career-ending injury.

David and his wife, plus-size model Anansa Sims-Patterson, have recently had their first child together, Ava, entering an exciting next phase of their lives as new parents.

With the birth of his daughter, David's focus has turned to putting family first and, along with Anansa, has agreed to move in with his mother-in-law and legendary supermodel, Beverly Johnson, in the hope that Anansa and her mother can repair their rocky relationship and move forward as a family.
