SUZE ORMAN: Number one. Stay out of debt. As you get older, own your own home outright if you own a home.
Make sure that your cars are owned outright and believe it or not financially speaking, once you're in your 50's if you can afford it, please look into long term care insurance. One out of three of you will spend some time in a nursing home after the age of 65. It can be very, very, very expensive to the tune of 10, 20, 30 thousand a month if you do not have it. So when you get older you would be very happy if you're gonna live to a hundred that you do have long term care insurance.
