Before LeBron became a star athlete, he and his mother, Gloria, struggled to make ends meet.

"I think the reason why I'm the person [who I am] today is because I went through those tough times when I was younger," LeBron says. "I wish I could sit here and give you words to describe what my mother means to me. There aren't enough words in the dictionary. I don't know how she did it."

"I was blessed with a God-given talent, and my mother raised me the right way," LeBron says. "I told myself if I ever made it to the level I want to be at, I'm gonna give back."
