: I cannot comprehend how any one thinks they can text and drive at the same time. While driving to work a few days ago I was almost hit by someone who was texting while driving and they were swerving into my lane. A year ago, I was almost side swiped on a major highway by someone who was reading a book while driving 60 mph! What is wrong with people?
My biggest fear, as a parent of four, ranging in age from 15 - 23, is something will happen to them while they're driving. We all know you can talk to your kids until you're blue in the face, but you're not with them every minute protecting them! My rules are no texting or talking on the phone while driving, but I know those rules are not always followed! Although my three drivers swear to me they never text, only talk. All of them are going to be made to watch this episode!!

: While I certainly agree with the message Oprah is sending with this episode and I too believe that distracted driving is a huge issue, I think that it is unfair to make such sweeping statements about my generation (I just turned eighteen). I admit I have attempted to read, and even once attempted to send, a text message while driving, however that one time made it very clear to me that it is impossible for me to text and drive, and I haven't done it since. Also if I talk on my phone while driving, I always use a speakerphone, but even then I can feel myself getting distracted and I tell whoever I am speaking with that I need to hang up. I know that I shouldn't talk on my phone while driving and I plan to stop, but I still think that it is irresponsible and misleading to say that all young people text and drive because it simply isn't true.
