Richard has been married to actress Carey Lowell since 2002, and they are the proud parents of 4-year-old Homer James Jigme Gere. How has fatherhood changed Richard? "How has it not changed me? You don't get sleep, but you end up having more time because all the 'wasting time' stuff falls away. You only do what matters." Of his relationship with his son, Richard is clearly a proud and awed father. "You're imprinting everything on this child. He's like a sponge. But I also don't think he's a 'tabula rasa.' There's an element of 'Homerness' about this child that came in with him." |
