Actress Sara Gilbert was nominated for two Emmy Awards for her performance as Roseanne's smart-talking daughter, Darlene. "What I think made Roseanne so special was that it was not the typical beautiful people on television," she says. Sara grew up on the set, playing Darlene from ages 13 to 22. "Roseanne was always really loving to me and the other kids on the show," she says. "She was so sweet." At 36, Sara now has a family of her own. Her son Levi is 6 years old and her daughter Sawyer is 3. Sara was also the brains behind the new daytime talk show, The Talk. "I was really inspired by Roseanne," she says. "I grew up around this strong woman [who] wasn't afraid to bring her vision to Hollywood and make it happen." |
