Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine

Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine are here to prove that every woman can look 10, 15 even 30 pounds thinner in a snap! Watch the pounds melt away as the What Not to Wear girls work their makeover magic on seven lucky ladies…
A preacher's wife gets a hip new look

Marriage, two kids and weight gain have morphed Michelle's style from sequins to sweats. Recently, she's been working hard to take off that stubborn baby weight. But Michelle's not only a busy working mom—she's also a preacher's wife—so deciding what to wear can be a little tricky.

Susannah says sweatpants, sweatshirts and elastic waists always add pounds. And Michelle was tucking in her tops, accentuating her worst area, her tummy. "By putting her in this, we're skimming over the tummy, which is the little, dodgy, flabby bit that does still exist but you can't see it," says Susanah. "Also, you carry some weight on your leg. With the one-tone jean we slim down the leg. And we have this curtain effect [with the top], cutting the leg in half, making you look 20 pounds lighter."
Michelle's makeover

Now 36-year-old Michelle has a hip, urban style that fits her lifestyle.

Oprah: What are the church ladies gonna say about this?

Michelle: They're gonna say "Hallelujah, amen!"

Michelle's new haircut from John Barrett and highlights from Shane Talbott show off her beautiful face, and her makeup is by the Laura Mercier team. Michelle is wearing Laura Mercier's Flawless Face Primer, Tan Tinted Moisturizer, #4 Secret Concealer, #6 Secret Camouflage, Translucent Loose Powder, and Sundust Loose Powder. On her eyes: Shimmer Sand Crème Eye Shadow, Azure Eye Duo, Shimmer Mermaid Eye Shadow, and Black Ebony Eye Liner. On her lips: Russet Lip Liner, Grenadine Lip Color, and Crystal Gloss. Her blush: Blushing Apple. Her clothes are from Marshall Field's.
A teacher gets a makeover

Jennifer may be book smart but she's failing in fashion 101. She shares her clothes with her husband! Look at those jeans. Baggy isn't even the right word for them—they're enormous! And Jennifer's legs were disappearing under her sweatshirt.

Worst of all, Jennifer was hiding a petite little figure under all those clothes. Jennifer's only problem area is her thighs, so an A-line dress is the perfect dress for her.
Trinny Woodall and Jennifer

Trinny says the narrow part under a woman's breasts is the area women should accentuate. "And she has something so right," says Trinny. "She has breasts. We needed to show them, and we needed to show that flesh because that really is going to make her look skinny and accentuate her figure."

Jennifer's dress is from Marshall Field's and her makeup was done by the Laura Mercier team. Jennifer is wearing Laura Mercier's Flawless Face Primer, Nude Tinted Moisturizer, #1 Secret Concealer, #1 Secret Camouflage, and Translucent Loose Powder. On her eyes: Wheat Eye Shadow Base, Toasted Almond Eye Shadow, Mauve Eye Shadow, Violet Eye Duo, and Blue Marine Eye Liner. Her lips: Red Chocolate Lip Liner, Merlot Lip Color, and Rose Gloss. Her blush: Apricot Face Tint. John Barrett and Shane Talbott gave her a sexy new hairstyle!
Adoree's new hourglass figure

Adoree recently lost weight, and Trinny and Susannah found Adoree helplessly searching for a new look. Like most top-heavy women, Adoree chose to wear boxy jackets to cover her breasts, but she also obscured any definition of a waist. And the large pattern on her jacket was making her look eight inches wider than she really is. Susannah wanted to get her into a new bra, and Trinny wanted to get her out of her "traffic warden" shoes.

Adoree's new look gives her an hourglass figure. A V-neck sweater with a tailored jacket over the top balances out her body and creates the illusion of a waist.

Adoree's new look is making her stand taller again. "We didn't see what kind of body you had," says Susannah. "You were square before and top heavy. And so we wanted to kind of balance out her body and break down this area because it made you look pounds heavier than you actually are. You really have an hourglass figure now."

Adoree's new hairstyle was done by John Barrett and Shane Talbott. Her makeup was done by the Laura Mercier team. She is wearing Flawless Face Primer, Toffee Bronze/Sunset Beige Foundations Mixed, #6 Secret Camouflage, #4 Secret Concealer, and Translucent Loose Powder. Her eyes: Rose Gold Crème Metallic Eye Shadow, Hazelnut Eye Shadow, Bordeaux Eye Shadow, Sunset Eye Shadow, and Black Ebony Eye Liner. Her lips: Tangerine Lip Color, Red Chocolate Lip Liner, and Ambre Gloss. Her blush: Blushing Apple. And her fabulous new outfit is from Marshall Field's.
A frumpy firefighter gets a red hot makeover

Carla is a 34-year-old full-time firefighter, a wife and mother of three who's got a three-alarm fashion emergency. In an average week she says she wears sweats seven times. "I'm in a man's profession," says Carla. "I wear men's clothes. I want to dress a little more girly."

Carla's new look is red hot! Since she works out and has broad shoulders, her jacket from Marshall Field's is soft and tailored to fit. Her thighs are muscular so her trousers skim, not cling, to her leg. And because Carla doesn't often wear heels, she's wearing a wedged heel to bring her long legs and low waist into proportion. A long scarf skims down her center and takes off more weight.
Carla's supermodel new look

Carla's new color and haircut from Shane Talbott and John Barret make Carla look like a supermodel!

Carla's wearing Laura Mercier's Flawless Face Primer, Nude Tinted Moisturizer, #1 Secret Concealer, #2 Camouflage, and Translucent Loose Powder. On her eyes: Wheat Base, Posy Crème Eye Shadow, Violet Duo, Deep Night Eye Shadow, Twilight Grey Under Lashes, and Blue Marine Eye Liner. On her lips: Red Chocolate Lip Liner, Dry Rose Lipstick, and Violet Lip Gloss. Her blush: Apricot Face Tint and Golden Bronzer all over.
Lisa's makeover

Lisa was dressing too large for her shape. She loved cropped pants, ribbed sweaters, turtlenecks and—worst of all—plaid and striped denim jumpers!

Lisa hadn't cut her hair in 15 years and it was adding years to her face. John Barrett and Shane Talbott had their work cut out for them. Now she is having fun as a blonde! Lisa is wearing Laura Mercier Flawless Face Primer, Sand Tinted Moisturizer, #2 Secret Concealer, #3 Secret Camouflage, Translucent Loose Powder, and Goldenbronze Bronzer. On her eyes: Wheat Eye Shadow Base, Posy Crème Eye Shadow, Burgundy Eye Duo, and Blue Marine Eye Liner. On her lips: Plumberry Lip Liner, Pink Mist Lip Color, Bare Beige Lip Gloss. Her blush: Blushing Face Tint.
Trinny Woodall and Lisa

Trinny says a big bright pattern can actually hide love handles and thick arms. "With Lisa, too, underwear was very important," says Trinny. "And, you know, we all love Spanx™. We all love those suck-me-in-things—I've got them on today. You see how it smoothes out her back? Never be scared to show off your butt if you have a big one that goes out that way. Okay? Show it off. And your waist as well."

Lisa was wearing long dresses before because she was self-conscious about her calves. "The pull-on boots are the best thing if you have a chunky calf. Trinny wears them all the time!" Susannah jokes.

Lisa's new outfit is from Marshall Field's.
Lorraine's makeover

Lorraine had a fabulous face, great makeup, great color and fabulous flare for style. But she looked 10 ten pounds heavier than she is! Lorraine's problem was that she was small on top and large on the bottom.

Trinny put Lorraine in a tailored suit in a stiff fabric to show off her waist and firm up her tush. "You can't wear a flimsy chiffon," says Trinny. "You can't wear a jersey that clings to maybe a little cellulite. You need something firm. Just look at this shape we've created!"

Lorraine's new suit is from Marshall Field's.
Lorraine's fresh new hairstyle and makeup

First, John Barrett got a hold of Lorraine's "Cocker Spaniel ears" she was wearing instead of an updated hairstyle. And Shane Talbott added warm highlights. Then, Lorraine got a fresh new face. Lorraine is wearing Laura Mercier's Flawless Face Primer, Warm Ivory Foundation, #2 Secret Concealer, #2 Secret Camouflage, and #2 Translucent Loose Powder. On her eyes: Wheat Eye Shadow Base, Blue Suede Eye Shadow, Violet Eye Duo, Deep Night Eye Shadow, and Blue Marine Eye Liner. On her lips: Russet Lip Liner, Chanti Lip Color, and Crystal Gloss. Her blush: Rose Petal.
Tapered jeans are a fashion don't

Kristi fell victim to one of Trinny and Susannah's biggest pet peeves: tapered, bad "mom jeans!" They make your bottom look wider, your stomach rounder and your ankles out of proportion.

Trinny and Susannah chose an outfit that flattered Kristi's tiny waist, fabulous chest and beautiful skin. And the long, loose trousers elongated her legs. "Forget surgery," says Susannah. "Forget the diet. All you need is a pair of trousers in a heavy jersey fabric in the right shape for you, some sturdy underwear, and you've lost pounds and pounds!"

Kristi's new look is from Marshall Field's.
Kristi's makeover

Kristi looks like she's lost 15 pounds and 15 years! Her scoop neck top—something Trinny and Susannah say you shouldn't wear if your skin is sun damaged or wrinkly—shows off her youthful looking skin.

John Barrett styled her hair and Shane Talbott gave her blonde a boost. Kristi is wearing Laura Mercier Flawless Face Primer, Nude Tinted Moisturizer, Warm Ivory Foundation, #1 Secret Concealer, #2 Secret Camouflage, and Translucent Loose Powder. Her eyes: Wheat Eye Shadow Base, Moss Eye Duo, Temptation Eye Shadow, Gold Crème Metallic Eye Shadow, and Eggplant Eye Liner. Her lips: Plumberry Lip Liner, Plum Lip Color, Pomegranate Lip Color, and Rose Gloss. Her blush: Blushing Apple.
