Cheryl says she's also healed her relationship with her daughter Veronica. "Things are great now," Veronica says. "The last time I was on the show, I said I couldn't see through to her heart, and now it's [the] total opposite. We bond a lot better now."

When she's tempted to pop a pill, Cheryl says she prays. "Three days before you contacted me [in 2009], I had hit rock bottom and I couldn't go any further," she says. "I told God: 'Take me and do with me what you will. But something has to be done.'"

Cheryl says she even started researching treatment centers—and found a place to email her story to Oprah.com. "You guys called me," she says. "That's a God thing."
