In September 2009, Cheryl, a single mother of two, confessed to taking 7,000 prescription pills a year. After her confession, Cheryl agreed to begin treatment at the Rosecrance Treatment Center in Rockford, Illinois.
Now, Cheryl is proud to say she's 205 days sober. "I did some inpatient for about three weeks and then following that outpatient," she says. "The first three days were difficult. But after that is when I began to learn things about myself and realize that I was in the right place."
Cheryl says she has a new lease on life. "We're doing well today, and we have many days ahead of us," she says. "We're so excited, and I have to thank you for just opening the eyes of America and giving me the opportunity to heal myself. I'm alive."
