In 2007, Oprah wanted to meet the designer behind fashion's fiercest red-soled stilettos: Christian Louboutin. Co-producer Stacy Strazis was given this glamorous assignment, and she flew to Paris to shoot with Christian. At the time, there was a transportation strike in Paris—so Christian told Stacy to hop onto the back of his Vespa scooter. The next thing Stacy knew, she was living a dream. "We take off," Stacy says. "The sun is setting, Christian starts singing 'I Love Paris in the Springtime.' Later that night, he gave me a pair of his famous, beautiful red-soled shoes." |
