Clothilde Ewing, a senior associate producer, says Jim MacLaren is the guest she'll never forget. When Jim was 22 years old, he was riding his motorcycle when he was hit by a bus. His leg was amputated, but he fought through it. He started running and exercising again. Eight years later, he was training for a triathlon when he was hit by a truck. After this second accident, he became paralyzed. "He told me that he saw both accidents as a gift because he said it wasn't until that second accident that he realized what was really important in life," Clothilde says. "Meeting Jim taught me why it's important to be positive, and he also taught me that anything is possible." |
