Matt's first big shot to stardom was when he and childhood pal Ben Affleck won an Oscar® for Best Original Screenplay for 1997's Good Will Hunting. Oprah: How's your friend Ben [Affleck]? Are you all still as tight as you were? Matt:Yeah, forever we will be. We've seen each other less in the last few years than at any other point in our lives, because we've been working so much, but I saw him last month when he hosted Saturday Night Live.
