For the bedroom, Nate wanted to create an escape. Since Fannie is in school, Nate added a desk in the bedroom so she would have a place to concentrate on schoolwork. He also wanted to create an illusion of space, so he added mirrors along one of the walls. "All I could think about for the last few weeks was how narrow that trailer was. And, I thought, 'I want this to feel even bigger than it is, because it's time for you to have some space,'" Nate says. Knowing how important Fannie's tiara was to her, Nate made sure to create a place of honor for it in the bedroom. "When you wake up every morning, it's what I wanted you to see," Nate says. |
