Devastating ConditionsIn August 2005, the world watched as Hurricane Katrina swept ashore and wrecked havoc on the Gulf Coast. In the days that followed, Oprah and her Angel Network team traveled to Louisiana and Mississippi to help those stranded by the storm. Almost six months ago, Oprah made a promise to always remember the people she met and the stories she heard. "I feel deeply that we owe it to every single family who has suffered to not forget and to not let them stand alone," she said.
