Celebrity Farewell Messages to Oprah
As The Oprah Show comes to an end, some of Oprah's most famous guests share their goodbyes.

Rockstar Melissa Etheridge says that Oprah has been on television for more than half of Melissa's life. When Melissa was in her 20s and coming out about her sexuality, she says she was amazed to see the guests Oprah had on her show. "The homosexuals, the transsexuals...these people that had been living in the shadows for so long go to this safe place to come out and say, 'Hey, I'm human and I have feelings and I have dreams and desires just like anyone else.'" As The Oprah Show comes to an end, Melissa wants to share this message with Oprah: "You've changed the world. You've changed my life. You have come into our homes. You have reached into our hearts with grace and dignity, and may your life be filled with joy and happiness and fearless love every step of the way." |
