Julia Roberts, one of the most glamorous women in the world, is famously pregnant with twins. But that didn't stop Oprah from giving her a mission: to give her best friend a makeover. Julia was so serious about her assignment that she personally booked her favorite hairstylist, Serge Normant, the man who has been running his hands through her hair for the last 12 years. During his 24 year career, Serge has transformed the locks of the super famous into works of art. He has been cutting hair since the age of 13, and now his extraordinary looks are captured in a book entitled Serge Normant: Metamorphosis.
Julia and French-born Serge met on the set of the movie The Pelican Brief, when he was assigned to her for a job. Julia says, "I had been shooting all night that night on the movie. So I came in, having slept for about 47 minutes, met the guys and said, 'I'm so tired, I really haven't slept.' I sat down for Serge to do my hair and about three and a half minutes later fell asleep. And he just very gently moved my head around and did my hair while I slept. And I woke up and I looked fabulous."
