The Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) wants to help you find a cat or dog to adopt if you have room in your heart and home.

These cuddly canines and felines are available at their Lynnwood, Washington, shelter. Remember, taking an animal home is a huge responsibility, so make sure you have the time and resources before making the commitment.

Bayla, a 6-year-old female border collie/Akita mix, has been at PAWS since November 2007. She has become a staff favorite and can often be found lounging in the managers' office or in the front lobby. Bayla is well-behaved, playful and has been formally trained with "sit," "stay," "speak" and "lie down" commands. She'd do best in a home without cats. Her identification number is 51219.
