From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler
We just purchased From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L.. Konigsburg for our grandson. This was my favorite book when I was a child. I read it to my daughters several times! The book is about a 12-year-old-girl named Claudia who had the nerve to leave her unappreciative family and run away to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with her little brother in tow. They had the best adventures hiding out from the security guards and figuring out the creator of a lovely statue. The way Claudia planned their getaway, lived on what little savings they had and hid out in the museum was so intriguing to me as a young girl! I hope my grandson Alex will enjoy it as much the rest of the family!
