Tonight's topic is about taking control of your job, your relationships, and your future. Plus, how you can use this principle to re-boot your life. These workbook questions were curated by Martha Beck. The goal is to continue the conversation and go deeper into the lesson. Your answers are private, no one else can see them.
If the person you admire most advised you about your life, what advice would he or she give?
If that person woke up in the same situation as you are in now, what would he or she do?
What small thing could you do today to improve your home, your job, your health or your relationship?
Where are you relying on someone who isn’t dependable? Why are you counting on them and not you to make a change in your life?
What energy are you putting out? What attitude or actions are showing others who you are—is it the person who want to be?
We can know things energetically even without knowing them consciously. What “flavor” of energy are you broadcasting to the world—tense, accepting, anxious, bubbly? If you don’t know, ask your friends and family.
Are there people who are in your life simply because you feel obliged to humor them? People who don’t support you, who drain you, or who you sense aren’t generating good energy for you or themselves?
Where do you feel buried beneath a wall of problems? Where can you see a tiny crack in the wall—a small success, someone who encourages you, or moments of feeling blessed? List 10 things that support you.
Where are you giving people power over your life and choices? Where are you asking for others to solve your problems, as opposed to supporting you as you solve them yourself?
While you’re waiting for something to happen, what “something” is waiting for you to take steps forward?
Where are you "working like a damn dawg"? Have you ever watched a dog work? They do what they're born to do, with joy, and rest when they're tired. Where are you working like a robot when you could be working like a dog?
