Have you ever stopped to look at your life and wondered, "How did I end up here?" Do you replay decisions that you've made in the past, wishing that things could have been different? While we may feel at times that we're in the wrong place, Dr. Robin says most of the time, we are exactly where we're supposed to be because there's always a lesson to be learned in every situation.
Instead of lamenting that you're in the wrong job, relationship or situation, Dr. Robin suggests telling yourself a new message: I am in the right place, right now. "It may not look exactly the way you think it should look, but somehow there is a plan—there is a bigger picture—and where you are right now is a part of getting you to the very place that you want to end up," she says. "This is your stepping stone—this moment."
