Gayle goes one-on-one with the legendary Wynton Marsalis. Jazz musician, trumpeter, composer, bandleader, advocate for the arts and educator, Wynton also happens to be one of the founders of the world-renowned arts organization where Gayle records her show—Jazz at Lincoln Center!
Wynton has helped propel jazz to the forefront of American culture. As Jazz at Lincoln Center’s current artistic director and as music director of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Wynton continues to spread the spirit of swing and raise awareness of jazz in the consciousness of the American public and the world.
A native of New Orleans, Wynton also talks about how he's helping rebuild his hometown one year after Hurricane Katrina. Jazz at Lincoln Center's Higher Ground Hurricane Relief Fund has raised $3 million and CD sales continue to contribute to the fund.
Plus, Gayle sits down with design expert and fellow Oprah Radio host Nate Berkus to talk about his new show on XM Satellite Radio.
