We often judge ourselves in terms of winning or losing—whether it's sports, finances, relationships, parenting or any other aspect of our lives. Regardless the situation, Dr. Robin says even if you lose, you'll always be a winner as long as you learn from the experience.
Take time to reflect, learn from your mistakes, let go of fear and redefine what winning and losing really mean for you, Dr. Robin says. "Being a winner means that even if you 'lose' by the world's standards, you've got your own set of standards and rules and you don't plan to lose the lesson—which means that you are going to win every time," Dr. Robin says.
