Who has influence over your decisions in life? Is it you—or is someone else giving you positive or negative feedback that affects your choices and your self-image? Dr. Robin asks: Who is in your ear?
While we all need role models in life, Dr. Robin says that is very different than having someone "in your ear" who has influence over your daily life or feeds you a negative feeling of self-worth. If someone builds you up and gives you life, it is okay to keep them around, Dr. Robin says. However, if the person who has influence over you is tearing you down and diminishing your life, you need to get them out of your ear and stop listening to what they have to say, she says. "Clean your spirit out because what comes into our ear feeds down deep into your soul and into your spirit," she says. Published on July 31, 2008
