Are you in possession of your own power, or does someone else own you? Dr. Robin says it's important to be in control of your own power so you can create healthy, meaningful and rich relationships in your life.
Whether you are struggling in your marriage or are just trying to figure out how to make sense of life, Dr. Robin says sometimes your power has landed in the hands of someone else and you need it back in order to take control of your own life. "If you want to make good decisions at work and good decisions as a parent, if you want to be a good friend, you need your power," Dr. Robin says.
If you've lost your power, Dr. Robin says today is your opportunity to decide that you are going to take it back. "It belongs to you and you alone," she says.
