Dr. Oz talks to Francis X. "Chip" Flaherty, executive vice president of Walden Media, which produced the new feature film Amazing Grace. The movie recounts the inspiring story of William Wilberforce, an antislavery pioneer who helped bring about an end to the slave trade in the British Empire more than 200 years ago. Wilberforce's mentor was a man by the name of John Newton, a former slave ship owner who found God while battling life-threatening colitis, an illness that causes inflammation of the colon's membrane lining.

Newton repented for his sins against mankind and fought the disease just long enough to pen the words to the classic hymn, "Amazing Grace." It is said that the song inspired Wilberforce in his quest to abolish slavery, as well as countless millions who have sung the words since Newton wrote them in 1772.
