Spiritual Depression
![]() We all have times when depression settles in our spirit, Marianne says, yet we can move past it to a place where there is healing, light and strength to continue our life's journey. Three women share their personal stories with Marianne, including a Hurricane Katrina relief volunteer who can no longer hold a job, a woman whose health and finances are failing, and a 30-year-old with no clear path for her future in sight.
Then, Stowe Shockey, co-author of Journey of Light: Stories of Dawn After Darkness, shares her story of childhood abuse and self-destruction. Speaking candidly about her own experiences with feelings of despair and sadness, Stowe shares with Marianne why there is always hope and a light at the end of the tunnel. Published on March 20, 2007
