Regardless of whether you have a friend or family member who's gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, find a way to show your support of the LGBT community this week. Here are some ideas:
- Make your LGBT friends or family members feel welcome.
- Watch your language. Refrain from using demeaning/derogatory words or jokes about someone who may be LGBT, and don't allow anyone else to use such language in your presence.
- Educate yourself about issues relevant to the LGBT community.
