Dr. Robin Smith

When is the last time you said you were sorry? When is the last time you said you were sorry and meant it? Dr. Robin says the sincere words "I'm sorry" are missing from the country's dialogue. "We don't have the guts and the strength and the internal security to … simply stand up with integrity and an open and secure heart to say the words 'I am sorry,'" she says.

Maybe you come from a family who never said sorry to one another. Or maybe you were raised to think apologizing is a sign of weakness. No matter your excuse, Dr. Robin says it is time to leave your old beliefs behind and start new. "Figure out where you've screwed up and with whom and go to them and [say you're sorry]," she says. "Do it now, feel proud, feel the strength, feel the vitality that is back in your life when you speak the words 'I am sorry,'" she says.
