![]() Rodger Kamenetz has been on a spiritual adventure since the early '90s, when his writing career took him to Dharamsala, India, to chronicle a meeting between the Dalai Lama and eight Jewish delegates. The result of that experience was Rodger's best-selling book The Jew in the Lotus: A Poet's Rediscovery of Jewish Identity in Buddhist India, an account of Rodger's experience in India, the similarities and differences between Jews and Buddhists and his own spiritual growth.
Rodger, the founding director of Louisiana State University's MFA program in creative writing and the founding director of the school's Jewish Studies Program, has written several other books, including Stalking Elijah, which in 1997 received the National Jewish Book Award for Jewish Thought. His latest book, The History of Last Night's Dream, investigates, explores and interprets dreams, and takes a closer look at how to use dreams to rediscover the soul. Rodger is a certified dream therapist and since 2003 has been working with clients, using their dreams to lead them on "a journey of great psychological and spiritual depth." He lives in New Orleans and is married to Moira Crone, a novelist and short-story writer. ![]() Part 1 Watch Now Part 2 Watch Now Download FilesIf you would like to view the webcast on your computer or through Apple TV, use the larger video file size.
