Dr. Oz talks with Jon, a professor of medicine known for his work in teaching mindfulness, about his book Arriving at Your Door: 108 Lessons in Mindfulness.
In his book, Jon features 108 daily readings to help people improve their mindfulness and get in touch with awareness. Jon says it's important to focus on the present moments in our lives, as opposed to always concentrating on the past or future. "We tend to run through our moments to get to other moments," Jon says. "You could live decades of your life on autopilot, driving through your life, missing what's most important and most fundamental. Then you end up dying, realizing that you haven't been there for the living."
