In 2003, actor John Ritter died suddenly from an aortic dissection. His death, at age 54, was a heartbreaking and shocking loss to his friends and family. Since then, his widow, actress Amy Yasbeck, created the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health to promote knowledge of aortic aneurysms and dissections through research and education.
