Gayle King
Reggie Wells travels over the world as Oprah's makeup artist and he loves to share his insights and adventures with Gayle! Gayle talks with Reggie about Oprah's recent speech at Howard University and Fantasia Barrino's debut on Broadway in The Color Purple.

In her commencement speech at Howard University, Oprah gave advice and inspiration to the class of 2007. After watching Oprah receive an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from the school, Reggie says he wept. "Everybody was crying, everyone had a tear," he says. "Because when Oprah speaks, it does come from the heart—it always does."

A day after Oprah's speech at Howard University, Reggie says he was tearing up again, this time at Fantasia Barrino's performance in The Color Purple on Broadway. "I think her calling is to the Broadway stage," he says. However, Reggie says he can see Fantasia as a star in a movie adaption of the musical as well. "West Side Story was a Broadway musical and then it became a movie—I see the same thing for Fantasia and The Color Purple," Reggie says.
