If you find yourself relaxing in the most unlikely places, such as the dentist's office or on the bus ride home, Dr. Robin says your body might be trying to tell you something. Ask yourself, "What plans [do] I need to make for my life so that true relaxation, pampering and exhaling could really happen in the right place, with the right people?"
While it's smart to make the most of every moment in our hectic, busy lives, Dr. Robin says you need to make time for real, uninterrupted rest and relaxation, too. Don't let those few, infrequent moments when you're standing still be your mainstay for refueling your tank and replenishing your spirit, she says. "You don't want the [doctor's office] or a traffic jam to be the place that really puts food into your soul and speaks life back into your body."
