When you look at your life, are you satisfied with what you have achieved, or do you wonder what it is you really want? Dr. Robin says we sometimes feel we have to accomplish things in life to please others instead of focusing on achieving the goals that will please ourselves.
Dr. Robin says we're often unaware of when we have done enough to make ourselves happy because we are so focused on pleasing those we care about. "Make sure what you are doing is connected to your own voice, your own wisdom, instead of trying to get to a goal that someone else set for you," Dr. Robin says.
"Embrace today the gift of knowing yourself down on the inside and knowing when enough is enough so that even if somebody else isn't satisfied with you, you are satisfied with yourself," she says.
