In the spring of 2008, more than 3,000 women applied for a chance to share their leadership ideas with some of the most important trailblazers in Washington, D.C. Among those, 80 women were selected to participate in the first-ever O -White House Leadership Project contest—a partnership between The White House Project and O, The Oprah Magazine .
