Many people are either searching for a soul mate or wondering if the person they're involved with is "the one." Kathy says there are many different soul mates in our lives and they come in different forms, not just romantic relationships. How can you tell if you've met a soul mate? "When you feel that something bigger is going on than just the regular relationship," Kathy says. "You feel an attraction that's irresistible in such a way that you just can't turn away from it. It can be either physical chemistry, it can be an intellectual connection, an emotional connection…but something that feels like it's bigger than just the two of you drawing you together."
Once you've opened your heart to a soul mate, Kathy says you have to actively nurture that special bond. "It's not a matter of holding out for the right person, it's a matter of really working on yourself," she says. "When you work on yourself, you're bringing interesting things to the table of the relationship and that keeps the relationship interesting."
