If you're a father, do you feel your children are happy to see you when you come home from work? Or do you feel like you're a walking ATM for your family—nothing more than a provider? According to Rabbi Shmuley, many men today feel neglected, lonely and even depressed—yet they lack emotional outlets where they can admit they feel vulnerable and talk openly about their feelings.
Rabbi Shmuley talks about some of the biggest worries married men have, from the fear they can't provide enough financially for their families to the fear their wives and children don't appreciate them. He also takes a look at ways men can express themselves in a positive way without feeling judged or that they are failures. Today's Shmuleyism: "Many men today are feeling neglected and unappreciated, as if they are the family ATM. It's imperative that when Dad comes home, kids turn off the TV and say hello. Wives should encourage their husbands to share their insecurities, worries and fears without the additional stress of being judged for opening up."
