Dr. Robin Smith
Do you miss being the star athlete you were as a young person? Do you long for the family gatherings you had as a child? Missing something great from your past can often be difficult to deal with, but Dr. Robin says you have to let go of yesterday. "It is only really hard to say goodbye to yesterday if you don't feel that something great is awaiting you today," Dr. Robin says.

Crying and lamenting about the good times of yesterday can distract you from enjoying the important moments of today. "If I spend my time longing for yesterday—if I spend my time saying, 'It's so hard aging'—I am missing just how healthy I am," Dr. Robin says. If you yearn for the large family gatherings you loved as a child, Dr. Robin says you should get out your address book and plan a big get-together. "You can make a fresh new moment, one that has never existed," she says.

By saying goodbye to yesterday and living for today, Dr. Robin says you will find happiness that you never knew existed. "Let the gift that is present and available and waiting for you to seize it to come up and show up for you today," she says.
