Letting Go of the Past

Dr. Robin Smith
Do you spend all your time looking back to the past instead of enjoying the present? Dr. Robin says dwelling on the past can give you a "stiff neck," inhibiting you from experiencing all the beauty that surrounds you in your present life.

There's nothing wrong with simply remembering what happened in the past, Dr. Robin says. "[But] a stiff neck, if you are not careful, will keep you frozen in the past and will keep you out of living in this present moment and whatever future moment might be to come." Instead, Dr. Robin encourages you to turn your head from that backward glance and begin to look forward into the future.
