Gayle King
He's known as a weight loss and fitness expert, but to Gayle he is known as the guy who totally reshaped her body! Gayle and Jim Karas talk about exercise, fitness and diet for women approaching and in menopause.

Gayle first met her trainer Jim when she was in her 40s and he came up with an exercise and fitness plan for her. Gayle says at the time, she did cardio workouts every day, and was surprised when Jim told her to introduce weight and strength resistance training to her program.

"When you incorporate strength and resistance training into an exercise program, your body is forced to change," Jim says. "Because when you put force against your muscles, the only thing they can do is respond. And with women who have been so hesitant for years to pick up the weights—"I don't want to get big," they say—quite the contrary: Lifting weights, strength training, makes you smaller and smaller."

Gayle says Jim's program shaped her body and gave her curves in a way other programs never had, but admits she's fallen off the wagon a little bit. "It's so hard," she says. "You said once, 'Weight loss is hard but the maintenance is even harder,' and that is oh so true."

Plus, Gayle talks to Deval Patrick, Democratic nominee for Massachusetts governor. Patrick talks about his road from Chicago's South Side to Harvard Law School to working in the Clinton Administration to his current gubernatorial campaign trail!
