When women get together, great things happen! That's exactly what happened when Jean and 12 other successful businesswomen gathered for a special dinner party in Jean's honor.
Kate White, the editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine, hosted the event to celebrate the publication of Jean's latest book, Make Money, Not Excuses.
The guest list of "fun, fabulous females" included Amy Rosenblum and Dr. Gail Saltz from NBC's Today show, where Jean is a regular contributor.
Also in attendance was Nell Merlino, the creator of Take Our Daughters to Work Day. Nell is also the co-founder and CEO of Count Me In, a non-profit organization that assists women in obtaining loans to help start their own businesses.
Citibank's Lisa Caputo, Cosmo's executive editor Michele Promaulayko, and Alexandra & James's Alexandra Lebenthal, were also among the partygoers.
Jean says the dinner was a perfect outlet for all the ladies to discuss their careers, exchange ideas and share laughs. In fact, she highly recommends that all women grab a couple of their girlfriends and do the same.
"Get the most interesting women that you know together in a room and you'll just come away feeling so energized and so inspired," says Jean.
