From Geena's rooster statue to one listener's collection of velvet Elvises—you won't believe what Nate finds!

So what does Geena consider to be one of her favorite home accessories? Try a 12-foot fiberglass rooster…that once occupied a space in her living room! "I loved it," Geena says. She bought the colorfully painted rooster at a store that sold old restaurant signs and paraphernalia. "And it really went with every décor. I don't know why I ever felt like I needed to rid myself of it, but I don't have it anymore."

Marianne is known for her spiritual wisdom, but Nate discovers she also has a keen sense of style. She says she fills her home with an eclectic mix of very old and very new items, including a 16th-century Chinese desk paired with two very modern photographs by Lisa Spindler. Inspired by a trip to Bali, Marianne decorated her bedroom with orange walls, brushed gold and wood. "It's like a mix of mysticism and eroticism, which is what every woman's bedroom should be," Marianne says.

Nate's mom, Nancy Golden, also weighs in on the discussion. As an interior designer, Nancy gains wide exposure to the way people are decorating. She reports the current design trend is for older baby boomers to pare down and move towards contemporary designs, while the younger crowd is doing just the opposite. It's a win-win situation—whatever the older set is willing to part with, Nancy says, the younger generation is happy to scoop up and start collecting.
