![]() Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts found success as a college basketball star, ESPN sportscaster and a successful journalist. Gayle talks to Robin about the life lessons she learned along the way and her keys to achieving personal success, which she details in her book From the Heart: Seven Rules to Live By .
As a young woman playing college basketball, Robin says she dreamed of being a pro athlete. But when that didn't happen, she says she found her true calling as a newscaster. Robin says it's important to dream big, but it's also important to know that there are different ways to fulfill your dreams. "There are those different avenues," she says. "I felt every bit as satisfied and thrilled when I went to Wimbledon as a broadcaster as opposed to a player." Ultimately, Robin says the key to success in life is staying true to you. In her book, she writes, "Live your life. Let it happen, enjoy the ride, and whatever you do, do it from the heart." She shares with Gayle her seven rules to live by:
