Encourage Slow Eating

"It takes 20 minutes for the stomach to tell the brain, 'I'm full,'" Tanya says. "When they ask for a second helping, like my kids always do, I always give them vegetables or fruit first, so they are kind of filling up and slowing down as they are doing that. That will help stop kids who are natural overeaters."
